Bluepaw is our Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) Kennel name. Located in beautiful Nanaimo British Columbia on Vancouver Island.

My Poodle focus started with the assortment of pattern, coat colour and size.

“WHY DOODLE WHEN YOU CAN POODLE”

Over the years my focus has been breeding for myself. It is important for me to know what my lines produce to ensure correct end results. Our multi colour lines come from Russian champions that were imported through AKC before the ban was place. I am currently using my home grown four generation line. Breeding to produce correct confirmation, health and added touch of colour/pattern. Blending our multi colour line with our solid champion lineage (European, American and Canadian). *WE DO NOT BREED MERLE*

MERLE IS NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE REGISTERED LITTERS. IT IS AGAINST THE PEDIGREE ACT TO SELL OR ADVISE OTHERWISE.
“WHY POODLE?”Poodles are non Shedding, hypoallergenic dogs that are easy to train and can match whatever energy you need them. They can be groomed into many different styles to suit your activity level or taste. This makes them great companions for seniors with lower energy as well as those who do outdoor activities or performance sports. Their small size makes them more manageable than their standard size counterparts and are more suitable for condo or apartment life. While they do enjoy walks, they don’t require a big backyard. Our poodles are active with a good off switch. Above all, they are amazing family pets!

I truly believe that the ONLY way to KNOW what you are breeding is to retain pups from your program to see how they mature in stature/ confirmation and in disposition. As a result I am sometimes have reduced older pups can be available as pet companion or with breeding rights to approved breeders.

Here at Bluepaw's we are reducing our program size and direction.

As of 2026 only our Tiny Toy and Toy Program will be whelped here in Nanaimo, BC Canada.

My Poodles have been my rock! Giving Unconditional love that has helped with my recovery after chemotherapy for my stag 4 colon cancer. My ongoing health concerns has made our family decide now is the time to pause and take the time to travel.

We get very attached to our babies and only want those people to adopt them who have the time and energy to raise a young puppy into a happy, well-adjusted adult.

Poodles do require regular professional grooming and we suggest you check out the rates with your local grooming shop before you call. Daily cleaning of the poodle's teeth is also a necessary requirement to keep him/her in good health.

We do not recommend a toy poodle puppy as a young child's pet as they are small and fragile can easily break a bone if dropped
