Welcome to Bluepaw Poodles!
We breed Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) Toy and Miniature Poodles in Nanaimo British Columbia on Vancouver Island.
Here at Bluepaw Poodles our focus started with our love for colours (especially parti and phantom poodle “WHY DOODLE WHEN YOU CAN POODLE”Currently blending our multi colour line with our solid champion lineage (European, American and Canadian). *WE DO NOT BREED MERLE*
“WHY POODLE?”Poodles are non Shedding, hypoallergenic dogs that are easy to train and can match whatever energy you need them. They can be groomed into many different styles to suit your activity level or taste. This makes them great companions for seniors with lower energy as well as those who do outdoor activities or performance sports. Their small size makes them more manageable than their standard size counterparts and are more suitable for condo or apartment life. While they do enjoy walks, they don’t require a big backyard. Our poodles are active with a good off switch. Above all, they are amazing family pets!
I truly believe that the ONLY way to KNOW what you are breeding is to retain pups from your program to see how they mature in stature/ confirmation and in disposition. As a result I am sometimes have reduced older pups can be available as pet companion or with breeding rights to approved breeders.
Here at Bluepaw's we are reducing our program size and direction. My Poodles have been my rock! Unconditional love that has helped with my recovery after chemotherapy for my colon cancer. Due to my more health struggles Bluepaw's will be having our final winter litter of miniature and toys expecting black, white, cream, blue, phantom and possible silver.
We will continue to keep in touch with our extended poodle families and will always take back any of our babies we have produced. Our love and passion for this wonderful breed will live on always!

When contacting us, please give us some insight into your daily lifestyle. Are you city dwellers in a house or a condo? Or maybe country folks like us?
We get very attached to our babies and only want those people to adopt them who have the time and energy to raise a young puppy into a happy, well-adjusted adult.
Poodles do require regular professional grooming and we suggest you check out the rates with your local grooming shop before you call. Daily cleaning of the poodle's teeth is also a necessary requirement to keep him/her in good health.
We do not recommend a toy poodle puppy as a young child's pet as they are small and fragile can easily break a bone if dropped
